MEET OUR FOUNDERS.
Founded by sisters Abbey Johnston and Alana Chandler, Project Epic began as a passion project with one clear goal: To make sure people with disabilities have the same opportunities and experiences as everyone else.
As a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Abbey spent nine years specialising in neurosurgical, neurological, and orthopaedic nursing. She provided compassionate care to children and adolescents with a range of complex medical, developmental, and mental health needs. Abbey also worked extensively in paediatric allergy and immunology, offering education and support to families navigating chronic health conditions.
With over 16 years of experience, Alana worked as Special Education Teacher across SSP schools and support units in both primary and high school settings. She supported students with autism, intellectual disabilities, behavioural challenges, hearing impairments, and emotional disturbances. Alana designed and delivered targeted programs that helped young people build social skills, emotional resilience, and confidence, preparing them for meaningful participation in the community and workplace.

Since December 2022, we have been on a mission to make every moment count. Every day, we aim to spread awareness, foster understanding, and inspire inclusivity through thoughtful disability support experiences that reflect our community, and shared moments that matter.
